BGMI Lite Kab Aayega? Launch Status as of 15 October
KRAFTON's pages, read 15 October 2026, give no date; the Play listing says 'later this year'. What is confirmed, what is missing, and pre-registration.
BGMI Lite kab aayega? Neither KRAFTON’s Google Play listing nor its BGMI news page, both read by this desk on 15 October 2026, gives a date. The listing still says the game is “targeting official launch later this year”, and pre-registration has been open on Google Play since 25 August.
Where the BGMI Lite launch stands
Aaj Tak reported on 18 August that KRAFTON had announced BGMI Lite for all users by the end of the year. A week later, KRAFTON’s notice of 25 August opened pre-registration and said the game “is planned to launch later this year.”
Nothing has moved since, on the pages read. The official news list as read on 15 October carries three newer items, all for the main game: the August and September anti-cheat reports and the V4.6.0 patch notes. That leaves about eleven weeks of 2026.
The listing also states “Updated on Apr 20, 2026”. That is the store’s own field, not a launch or announcement date.
What KRAFTON has confirmed
Per the Google Play listing:
- No extra mandatory package before the first match; extra modules are optional and removable.
- Classic Erangel, 100 players a match.
- Rated for 12+, with ads and in-app purchases.
What is still missing
Neither page gives a download size or device requirements. The under-1GB figures circulating online come from third parties, not from these KRAFTON pages. Neither page says anything about esports either, so whether LITE players will ever feed the qualifiers is open. We looked at that question in BGMI Lite against BGMI and in the BGMI esports roadmap, assessed.
BGMI Lite kab aayega: FAQ
When will BGMI Lite launch in India?
KRAFTON has not put a date on its Google Play listing or its BGMI news page, both read on 15 October 2026. The listing says the game is targeting official launch later this year, and the 25 August notice says it is planned to launch later this year. Anything more precise is not from those KRAFTON pages.
Is BGMI Lite pre-registration open?
Yes. KRAFTON’s notice of 25 August 2026 opened pre-registration on Google Play, and the listing still showed the pre-register prompt when this desk read it on 15 October 2026. The notice names Google Play only and says nothing about other stores.
Can I use my BGMI account in BGMI Lite?
Yes, per the Play listing: an existing BGMI account logs in on BGMI LITE and owned items carry over, so outfits come with you. The listing also says LITE players can team up with friends on BGMI in one lobby, solo, duo or squad, and that LITE will be updated alongside the main game.
This is a status read, not a countdown. BGMI Lite is free to play and we cover it as a scene story; when KRAFTON posts a date, trust that notice over this page.
