About this site

About

Crick Patrol is an independent, commercially supported publication covering India's esports and online gaming scene — the tournaments, the rosters, the publisher roadmaps, the LANs, and the business that keeps (or fails to keep) all of it running. We may earn affiliate commissions or advertising revenue from some links on this site. That revenue never dictates our conclusions: no score, verdict, or headline is for sale, and any paid placement is disclosed where it appears.

What we cover

Competitive gaming, full stop. Event news and assessments, points tables read properly, calendars and prize pools put in context, and honest reviews of the products the scene is built on — from official roadmaps to arena formats. We are stats-literate and we respect the grind: the players putting in scrim hours get taken seriously here, whether they sit in a finals lobby or a tier-2 qualifier. One thing we will never cover: betting. No odds, no fantasy-cash apps, no real-money gaming — not as content and not as advertising.

How we review

We assess what can be verified: published formats, organiser and publisher announcements, broadcast play, and the numbers on the table — always attributed ("per the organisers", "as of this writing"). We do not invent statistics, quotes, or insider history, and every assessment carries genuine cons alongside the pros. Our editorial policy spells out the method and what our scores mean.

Who writes here

The site is edited by Arjun Mehta — a disclosed house byline maintained by our editorial team, as explained on the editorial policy page — and reviews run under that name. News items carry the byline Staff, Crick Patrol. Spotted an error? The contact page reaches the desk directly, and corrections move to the front of the queue.
